My Paws Need Claws!

Tails of Hope does not perform onychectomy procedures to declaw cats and strongly advises against the procedure. The procedure is commonly requested for a person's convenience rather than the cat's well-being. Behavioral training, enriching a cat's home environment, and regular nail trimming are humane ways to reduce unwanted effects of scratching. There are extensive online resources about training your cat to use a scratching post or similar item instead of your furniture.
