HIGH-VOLUME VETERINARY SURGEONS (DVM)

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is able to perform 25-35 cat/dog surgeries per day and share our team's passion to be part of a collaborative, life-saving community offering low- to no-cost Spay/Neuter Programs, TNR Programs, and supporting animal welfare organizations while bringing awareness to animals in need. Must have a good sense of humor and be willing to help educate staff, students, and volunteers.
Must be licensed veterinarian in the state of Pennsylvania and maintain all current and correct licenses.

VETERINARY TECHNICIANS (CVT, LV, RVT)

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years experience and be fully proficient in all technical duties (including blood draws, IV catheters, administering treatments, IM injections, vaccinations and microchips, anesthesia, monitoring, etc.). Candidate must have customer service experience and be comfortable speaking to and educating clients pre- and post-surgery and about vaccines/additional services. The Vet Tech’s duties include assisting with medical supply ordering, cleaning and sterilizing the surgical suite, other clinical areas of the facility, and working as a team to keep the clinic as a whole clean and sanitized. Must have a good sense of humor and be willing to help educate staff, students, and volunteers.

The ideal candidate is a highly detailed and excellent multi-tasker with incredible organizational skills who doesn't mind constant interruptions in an extremely fast-paced medical setting while professionally talking to people, answering the phone, making appointments, replying to emails, completing paperwork, providing car-side admission & discharge services to cats & dogs of all sizes no matter the weather, cleaning up the inevitable pet pee or poop, sometimes holding a cat or dog at the same time, and doing all of it with an Office Cat who must lay on your keyboard or whatever you're working on at the moment. Must have a good sense of humor, be flexible & open to change, and be willing to help educate other staff, students, and volunteers.
There is no typical day here at Tails of Hope. Persons filling the CSS role must understand everyday is different and be ready for new challenges with a positive attitude. The CSS role is first and foremost to provide customer service above & beyond expectations to all clients in person, via email, or on the phone. The CSS also provides a variety of other administrative tasks, including but not limited to medical records, ensuring financial obligations are met by clients, cash & credit card payments/deposits, and ensuring quality of service and flow of office operations. They will support the rest of the team as needed, and maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and reputation of the organization.
